REVIEW ➞ Deliver Us From Evil by Monica James

Monsters are real…and that monster is me.

I’ve surrendered. I have no other choice.

With Babydoll gone, I’m going to do whatever it takes to find her.

I will lie.
Cheat.
Murder…and I’ll do so with a smile.

I’ll even sell my soul to the devil…because that’s who my father, Sean Kelly, is. He won’t stop until Belfast is his. He knows I’m at my breaking point. Just how far will he push until I lose myself to the darkness for good?

But I’m prepared to give it all away. She’s all that matters.

However, this life isn’t done with me yet.

A startling secret threatens to destroy me, and a new player is introduced into the game. I don’t know if he is a friend or foe. What I do know is that he has the power to change the world as I know it.

He wants what is mine.

My kingdom.
My name.
And my legacy.

But I am Puck Kelly—and every monster is scared of somethin’…and that somethin’ is me.

No more hiding in the shadows because I’m huntin’ youse, and this time, I won’t lose.

Run, wee monsters, run.

He’s chosen me to love and protect. Through ugliness, we’ve found this, and it’s the most beautiful thing in the world.

The conclusion to Punky and Cami’s story is full of twists and turns right up until the very end. From the first page to the last I was completely sucked into this wild ride and couldn’t wait for questions to be answered and to see how everything ends for these two characters that you can’t help but love.

From the start their journey was not easy and even in the final book of this trilogy there are still things that are in Punky and Cami’s way, but like always together they can truly make it through anything. I completely fell more in love with these two characters, especially Cami. Her strength, her determination and her love of Punky, even despite the monster he can be. She is caring and it shows so much throughout this story. Punky is still on his path for revenge and continues with his impulsive ways and no one is going to stop him, but there is also the caring and protective side that comes out when it comes to Cami.

I loved the conclusion to Punky and Cami’s story and that epilogue was perfection. It was the pretty black bow on their twisted tale, but I have a feeling it won’t be the last we see some of these characters (there are two I’m really hoping for and if you’ve read this, I’m sure you can probably guess).

If you’re looking for a dark, suspenseful romance this trilogy is one to check out!
