REVIEW – Sideline Infraction by Emily Silver

BLURB

What happens when I find the right guy at exactly the wrong time?

I’m Alex Young. Star quarterback for the Denver Mountain Lions. Captain of the team. Son. Brother. Teammate.

And I’m gay.

No one can know. My secret could destroy everything. I lock myself up in the closet and throw away the key. It’s better this way. I can focus on football and being the best quarterback I can be.

Until him.

With that first look, I’m a goner. I’ve never met anyone like him. With each touch, he’s breaking down the walls I’ve worked so hard to build.

But what if someone finds out? What if I’m outed to the world and cut from the team I love?

I can’t risk it.

But when Carter kisses me like that?

I just can’t resist.

I’m in so much trouble.

I can’t seem to fight the pull #18 is having on me. Damn football players and their good looks.

ARC REVIEW

I loved Alex and Carter’s story!

A quarterback and a math teacher, what’s not to love about that!? From the moment they meet there is a connection and instant chemistry. There are a lot of sweet moments, swoony moments, some spicy moments, but it isn’t completely easy when it comes to Alex and Carter.

Alex is still closeted and there is a fear of coming out given his career and some of the other teams players and their rather public views. Alex is afraid of what others will think, however, he wants to find what his teammates are finding and he has that with Carter. However, Carter is out and he doesn’t want to hide his relationship.

I love this story, it makes you feel good and these characters and their journey are fantastic, especially when it comes to Alex.

If you’re looking for a strangers to lovers, MM, sports romance check this one out.
