REVIEW – Hate Me by Claire Raye

BLURB

Hate Me is book one of Alex and Delaney’s duet and book one in the Badger Creek Duet Series. A two-part, angst-filled, slow-burn, enemies to lovers new adult romance. Hate Me must be read before Hate Me Not in order to enjoy the full story.

The last place Delaney Hayes thought she would find herself is Badger Creek. It’s the place she left with dreams of college scholarships and a future as a professional skier. But less than a year later, she’s back with her tail between her legs, embarrassed and bitter, working as a ski instructor.

And then there’s Alex Cunningham. A guy most girls would dream of working with. Arrogant and gorgeous with a sinful smile to match. Determined to make Delaney’s life miserable, he seems to turn up everywhere she is and her patience for him is wearing thin.

However, fate has other plans and when tragedy strikes, they’re forced together in a way they never expected.

We’ve been so hot and cold, the chemistry between us sparking every time we’re around each other.

ARC REVIEW

The chemistry. The tension. The banter. Alex and Delaney were melting the snow in Badger Creek.

I absolutely loved this story. I was hooked from the moment I started reading. These two completely sucked me in. And that ending, I am DYING for book two because I need to know what happens next!

From the moment Alex and Delaney saw each other there was a connection. However, they both got a little surprise. There is some hilarious banter between these two and they really knew how to push eachothers buttons. But along with the dislike and button pushing, there are some sweet moments between the two of them that I absolutely adored. Especially when it came to Alex. He has the arrogant side to him, but also as an extremely caring and protective side.

I feel like there are some things Alex is hiding or details that haven’t completely come out and the same goes with Delaney, so I am curious to see how things continue to play out for them in that aspect.

I’ve completely fallen in love with Badger Creek and the characters that have been introduced.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, workplace romance this is one to check out.
