At the Sicuro Academy, the Russians and the Italians give each other a wide berth. Weā€™re bitter enemies after all.

So imagine my disbelief when my brother announces that Iā€™m to wed Dante Accardi, next in line to run the Accardi Italian crime family.

After the shock subsides, Iā€™m determined to save myself. Itā€™s not until my plan is in full swing that I realize there might be more to Dante than I first thought. But those closest to me, those who were supposed to protect me have always hurt me. Now, I have to decide whether to trust him with my heart or whether heā€™ll just be another person in my life who brings me to my knees.

Polina Aminoff is a Bratva brat and an ice princess that I donā€™t think even an easy-going guy like me can thaw. And Iā€™ve never had an issue melting the panties off a woman before. Iā€™m just as unhappy about our engagement as she is, but my father made it clearā€”it is my duty to the family.

Once weā€™re forced together, another side of Polina shines and I start to think we could have a future together that doesnā€™t involve being bitter rivals.

But sheā€™s hiding something, I just donā€™t know what. Which leaves me wondering, can I ever really trust my enemy?

ARC REVIEW

When it comes to Sicuro and the outside world the Russians and the Italians do not have the best relationship, but two of the families are trying to bring some peace to them with the marriage of Dante and Polina. However, the two of them want nothing to do with the otherā€¦.at least at first.

Polina has some walls up and a mask for the public to see. There are things about her life that no one else knows and she wants to keep it that way. She truly comes across as an Ice Queen. Dante has a reputation at Sicuro as a player and he says things like they are, the man doesnā€™t have a filter. Despite the disdain towards each other, there is also some chemistry. Dante doesnā€™t fit their connection and Polina truly makes him work for it and doesnā€™t make it easy. I loved the two of them together though. I love how protective Dante is when it comes to Polina, even when she acts like she still hates him.

Walls fall and Dante gives Polina glimpses in what married life could be and how it was totally different from what she expected. I loved seeing the connection and the relationship between these two grow more and more.

If youā€™re looking for an enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, mafia, romantic suspense check this one out.
