REVIEW – Broken Dreams by Corinne Michaels

BLURB

What could possibly go wrong fake dating the gorgeous single dad in a small town?

The answer, you fall for him.

It started out perfect. Grady Whitlock needed a plus one for his business meetings, and I needed a date for a wedding.

We had a plan. It was a good one.

Until it wasn’t.

I was not supposed to have feelings for him. I was not going to let my heart race when his soulful blue eyes stared into mine. No way should I have noticed his smile or the dimple on his right cheek or his strong arms when he held me close. I especially wasn’t going to melt when I saw him play with my daughter.

Most of all I was not going to sleep with him.

Nope. None of that was supposed to happen, but it does.

Now I find myself dreaming of him every night. Wishing we were really a couple because the way he kisses me doesn’t feel as if it’s pretend.

But we’ve both watched our dreams shatter, and I can’t handle another broken heart.

ARC REVIEW

Grady and Addison both lost their spouses unexpectedly years prior, however, neither feels like they are truly ready to put themselves out there yet. But Addison needs a date to a wedding and Grady needs someone for business meetings and events to help get his business off the ground. Enter fake relationship…..

I adore these two so much. They both know what it is like to lose someone you love and they are both taking care of their young kids. They have chemistry and a connection, yet both of them still have walls up because they aren’t wanting to get hurt and experience loss again. I love seeing their connection deepen throughout the story and seeing them fall for each other and truly find love after loss with each other.

Elodie and Jett!? These two are so adorable and I love the little friendship that these two kids have formed with each other. The Whitlock siblings banter is hilarious and I love the family interactions between them. Plus, the return to Rose Canyon and seeing all those guys still being protective over Addison. There is just so much to love about this story and I didn’t want it to end.
