REVIEW ➞ The Reluctant Bride by Monica Murphy

BLURB

Everyone’s for sale, including me. One moment I’m the forgotten daughter of one of the most wealthy families in the country, and the next I’m the blushing bride in an arranged marriage. My fate is sealed in my wedded union with a complete stranger.

In public, Perry Constantine is the life of the party. Easygoing. Adored. In private, he’s brooding. Dark. Angry. But so am I. It’s a contest of wills to see who will break in the bedroom first, and while I try to remain strong, I find myself craving the very man I swore to hate.

My husband.

Perry Constantine is like a drug. A dangerous one. The kind that sneaks up on you.

ARC REVIEW

Perry and Charlotte are two strangers who are now forced to wed.

Perry is the only single man within his immediate family, he is also a playboy. He enjoys having fun and just living his life not being tied down with anyone. Charlotte is hidden away by her family, she enjoys antiques and avoids relationships after a scandal the year prior. Neither of them are looking to get married, let alone to someone they have never met.

I loved seeing the connection form between Charlotte and Perry as the story progressed. This isn’t something neither of them want, yet for Charlotte this may be her way out of her father’s hold and Perry has a protective side coming out. It took some time for their chemistry to build, but slowly you can feel that growing between them.

I can’t wait to see where their story goes next and the secrets that come out.

If you’re looking for a strangers to lovers, enemies to lovers, arranged marriage romance this is one to check out.
