REVIEW ➞ Lessons in Sin by Pam Godwin

BLURB ➞

There’s no absolution for the things I’ve done.
But I found a way to control my impulses.
I became a priest.

As Father Magnus Falke, I suppress my cravings. As the headteacher of a Catholic boarding school, I’m never tempted by a student.

Until Tinsley Constantine.

The bratty princess challenges my rules and awakens my dark nature. With each punishment I lash upon her, I want more. In my classroom, private rectory, and bent over my altar, I want all of her.

One touch risks everything I stand for. My faith. My redemption. And even my life.

As if that could stop me. I need her pain, and her heart, and she needs my lessons in sin.

If people had hearts like Tinsley Constantine, my faith in humanity would be renewed.

ARC REVIEW ➞

I completely devoured this book. The moment I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Lessons in Sin is one of those books that will keep you up all night reading.

Despite being 18 Tinsley is pretty mature compared to many people her age. She is smart, talented and caring. I didn’t expect to love her as much as I did. She does have a rebellious streak, especially when it comes to people of authority. Magnus was once New York’s most eligible bachelor, a self-made millionaire until events in his past lead him to a life of a Priest and spending time as the headteacher of an all-girls Catholic School. The man is 1000% an alphahole and I couldn’t get enough of it.

The tension, the chemistry, the forbiddeness. There is just so much to love about their relationship. While there was the dark aspect to their relationship there was also some tender and sweet moments between them. They were drawn to each other in not just a physical sense. They became a sense of support to each other; they understand each other’s souls. Everything about Tinsley and Magnus is full of passion and raw beauty.

If you’re looking for an age gap, dark, forbidden, taboo, slow burn student/teacher romance this is one to check out.
