REVIEW ➞ Adler’s Hart by Misty Walker

BLURB ➞

If you have no heart, it won’t get broken.
Fate sends Adler one anyway.

I’m a loner.
Never getting too comfortable or allowing anyone to get too close.
So when I log onto the hook-up app on my last night in Ketchikan, Alaska,
I assume it’ll be a quick lay before I go south for the winter.
That is until I see the man who shows up at my door.
He’s young, wide-eyed, and perfect.

All I wanted was a one-night stand with no attachment,
I should’ve known things would be different with a man named Hart.
And after the best night of my life, I’m desperate to run.
Except we’re snowed in.

I try to keep him at a distance.
But there’s something about him that has me opening up,
letting him in against my better judgement.

Suddenly I don’t want to be alone anymore.
I want to be with him.
My Hart.

Adler’s Hart was originally a 15k word short story with a happy for now. This version (36k words) has been revised in order to give Adler and Hart their happy ever after.

Adler’s Hart is book 2.5 in the Brigs Ferry Bay Series. Brigs Ferry Bay is a steamy MM romance series. While each book can be read as a standalone, to get the full experience, they’re best read in order. Enemies to lovers, hurt comfort, age-gap romance, and so much more. Fall in love with the charming small-town gay romances of Brigs Ferry Bay.

Spent twenty-four hours together, and somehow, in those twenty-four hours, you burned yourself into my soul. Couldn’t get you out of my head, and trust me, I tried.

It was just supposed to be a one night stand, a few hours, but the weather had different plans and lead to twenty-four hours together. In that time everything completely changed for Adler and Hart.

I LOVED Adler and Hart so much. Adler has been on his own since he was 18, he moved around, never really forming connections with anyone. He didn’t feel like he could be loved. Hart comes from a loving family who is supportive. I loved the instant connection between these two men, despite the age difference, they are truly what each other needed. I love how they balance each other and how they easily support each other when it comes to the good and the bad.

I completely fell in love with this story and these characters. I didn’t want their story to end. If you’ve read the previous Brigs Ferry Bay series you’ll see some old favorites pop up and I loved that. I can’t wait for more in this series and to get more of Adler and Hart.

If you’re looking for an age gap, MM romance that is full of heat and emotions this is one to read!
