REVIEW ➞ Holiday Ever After by JD Hollyfield

BLURB ➞

’Tis the season for falling in love with this hilarious, heart-warming, second-chance holiday romance.

Down on her luck, all Holly wants for Christmas is for her life to stop unraveling.
The last thing on her to-do list is traveling back to her hometown of Willow Falls. In fact, it’s a place she’s avoided for the past five years.

After being dumped by her boyfriend and fired from her job, stringing twinkle lights, decorating the tree, and sipping hot cocoa with her family turns out to be just what she needs to get out of her funk.

Until a familiar face from her past reappears, wreaking havoc on her life once again.

Liam Cody.

The one who got away.

The boy who shattered her heart and ran off with the pieces years ago.

But one glance at Liam, and all she sees is a strong, confident, sex God of a man. And the worst part? Her heart doesn’t understand he doesn’t belong to her anymore.

As the days tick down to Christmas, can Holly let go of the past and still get her kiss under the mistletoe?

We were going to be one of the greatest love stories. Then our story just ended.

ARC REVIEW ➞

The moment they first ran into each other Holly and Liam were it for each other, they thought it would be forever but one event forever changed everything for them and now they are both back in the town they left years prior.

To everyone else, Holly looks like she is living her dream life, but that is far from the truth and she just doesn’t want to disappoint her family. She returns back to her small town right before the holidays after she finds out Liam is back in town.  Liam left to join the Peace Corps and then joined the military and now he is back in town. When Holly and Liam cross paths for the first time in years there is still something between them, but there is also a lot of pain and heartbreak.

I love the chemistry between Holly and Liam. Despite everything it is still strong between them. Their both still so drawn to each other.  I loved getting bits and pieces of their past together. Their young love is sweet, but it was also so heartbreaking. There is a lot they need to overcome, but they are a couple that you know belongs together and you can’t help but root for them.

If you’re looking for a second chance holiday romance this is one to read!
