REVIEW ➞ My Unexpected Surprise by Piper Rayne

BLURB ➞

I never thought of myself as dad material.
Until my one-night stand showed up in my small Alaskan town five months pregnant.

But I don’t shy away from responsibility. First, because I’m a Greene and not to boast but we’re kind of a big deal in Sunrise Bay. Second, I’m the Sheriff.

I couldn’t have predicted how protective I’d become for the safety of her and my unborn baby to the point of asking her to move in with me and be my roommate.

Just when I think I have the situation under control, another surprise knocks me over, but it only spurs me to double down.

I’ll be the first to admit, I didn’t think it through. Somewhere between the dinners, the TV show binging, the doctor appointments, and me walking in on her naked, lines blurred.

In what feels like warp speed, my bachelor for life status is in jeopardy and I’m fighting for the most important thing of all—my family.

Remember, Allie, he’s no prince. He’s the villain in your story.

ARC REVIEW ➞

Fisher is the next Greene up in this series. He is the town sheriff and after seeing how the loss of his mother affected his father he decided to never put himself in the situation to feel that kind of hurt again. However, when a one night stand, Allie, comes back into his life while she is five months pregnant, he needs to step up.

I absolutely adored Fisher and Allie’s story. There is no shortage of chemistry between them and the two of them work well together. Fisher knows that there is something different about Allie from the moment they first met, yet he struggles with the fear of being feeling so much hurt. I loved Allie and that she just doesn’t instantly fall for Fisher’s demands and his need to control everything. Of course, they have Dori and Ethel up to their normal shenanigans that help push them along.

The more time Fisher and Allie spend together the more it becomes obvious how perfect they are together. They can have the happiness they deserve and be a family.

I love getting more and more of the Greene family and all their craziness, plus there are plenty of Bailey family members popping in. I can’t wait to return to Sunrise Bay!

If you’re looking for a surprise baby, small town romance this is one to read!
