REVIEW – Perfect Enemy by M. Robinson

BLURB

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes an enemies to lover, standalone romance.

She’s twenty-years younger than me.
Half my age.
And twice the trouble.

After two decades of serving, I come home to find nothing’s changed, except her. She’s still the same carefree girl with wild eyes and a smart mouth. A mouth I’ve wanted to tame for years, but I couldn’t back then and I can’t do it now.

This time I have a job to do and she keeps getting in my way. Because removing her from my life is impossible…

She’s my little sister’s best-friend.

My villain. My captor. My hero. Had now turned into… My lover.

ARC REVIEW

Cove has been spending time with the Beckham family from the moment she befriended Haven at the age of 4. At 8, she developed a crush for her much older brother, Jace. At least until one night he yelled at her and that crush was dormant for ten years.

The enemies to lovers vibes are strong in this one. Cove and Jace battle back and forth constantly. I loved that fact that Cove really wasn’t afraid to stand up to Jace and fight back. But she also wanted to be there for him and be someone he could open up to. Jace is a mysterious man, he doesn’t let people in and he doesn’t let himself get close to anyone.

The chemistry is off the charts, these two are bringing the spice throughout the entire book. There is a fine line between hate and love and these two are really on that line multiple times. I loved seeing their relationship change and develop throughout the course of the book.

If you’re looking for an age gap, best friends brother, enemies to lovers check this one out.
