REVIEW – No Small Bet by Samantha Christy

BLURB

Reluctant single dad.
Arrogant villain.
Cold-hearted heir.
And the enemy of my brothers.
I should hate him… so why can’t I stop wanting him?

Hawk McQuaid is not the guy who stays.
He doesn’t do relationships.
Especially not with the virgin amputee who accidentally became his nanny during an elevator mishap.
But he’s wound himself around my heart.
And it’s the last place he should be.
He’ll hurt me. It’s not even a question of if. It’s when.

Because hearts like his don’t love… they destroy.

He’s forbidden. The enemy. Dark and dangerous. But maybe that’s why I crave him the way I do. Because he’s someone I can’t have.

ARC REVIEW

Hawk is arrogant, he is a major grump, wealthy, and a major playboy. The man only truly cares about himself and everyone knows it. Addison is caring, loving, determined, and a ray of sunshine. These two are complete opposites, their families dislike each other, well mostly her brothers and Hawk and his brothers.

The tension, the banter, the chemistry between these two was something else. It completely sucked me in and I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved seeing a whole different side to Hawk though and seeing him grow throughout the course of this story. Addison, I’ve loved her from the moment she was introduced way back in her brother Tag’s book. She is an amputee but she doesn’t let that hold her back at all from living her life to the fullest.

I loved Hawk and Addison’s story and I love Tucker McQuaid and all his ways. I can’t wait to return to Calloway Creek and get to learn more about the rest of the McQuaid family.

If you’re looking for a single dad, boss/nanny, small town, enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine romance this is one to check out.
