REVIEW : Misadventures in Blue by Sierra Simone

Senior Detective Cat Day has one hard and fast rule about dating: no cops. They live hard and die young—a truth she’s faced every day since her fiancé’s tragic death several years ago. But when rookie Jace Sutton shows up to work the same burglary investigation, she feels desire she hasn’t felt in years.
Jace knows what he wants the minute Detective Day strolls onto his crime scene in heels and a pencil skirt tailored by God himself. He wants to thaw the legendary Ice Queen, and it only takes one hot, dirty night for Jace to realize he wants more. Much, much more.
But more is the last thing Cat wants from any cop—especially a playboy rookie like Jace. As the burglary investigation heats up and he repeatedly puts himself in danger, Cat must ask herself if Jace will be as reckless with her heart as he is with his life.

Cat Day: gateway drug. Except she’s a gateway drug to more of her. She’s got me craving and trembling for just one more taste. Just one more touch.

MY REVIEW

Age cop and police romance and written by Sierra Simone? Sign me up. I LOVED this book. I completely devoured this story in one sitting. Cat and Jace were fantastic.

Cat Day. 37 year old detective. She hasn’t dated since losing her fiancé 12 years ago in the line of duty. Jace Sutton. 24 year old rookie police officer. These two had an instant connection and it was SCORCHING HOT! Will one night be enough?

I loved Cat and Jace’s chemistry, both in and out of the bedroom or office or wherever they were hooking up. Cat was hesitant when it came to Jace, not just because he was young, but he was a police officer. She’d been down that road and it didn’t end well. Jace has no hang ups when it comes to Cat. The man is all in. He wants everything.

This book had a great story, some mystery to it, scorching hot chemistry, some emotional scenes. A MUST READ!
