REVIEW – Love Sick by Monica James

BLURB

All I want is revenge.

But I’m afraid it will destroy me because I’m not a monster.

Or maybe I am.

And that’s thanks to Doctor Alanna Norton.

She’s tortured me.

She’s made me forget who I am.

And she’s done all this in the name of love.

But the love I feel for my son, who was stolen from me, will triumph. I won’t accept any other outcome.

There is another love which I will fight for—Dutch Atwood.

But what I find…the sting of betrayal lingers. I look at Dutch through new eyes; he doesn’t trust me, and I don’t trust him.

I’m faced with so many scenarios—I wish I knew how this story ends so I can make the right choice.

But there is no right in the hand I was dealt.

Alanna wants love so badly, so I intend to show her what true love looks like, because the only thing that matters is getting out of here…but not before I take from Alanna what she took from me.

Her heart.

In every book, every reader wants to know why…why did the villain do what they did? They want to know their backstory to why they’re the bad guy. I know I’m the villain in your story, Luna, and I’m sorry.

ARC REVIEW

Love Sick is book two in the duet and picks up where things were left off in Heart Sick. From the very start this book is dark, twisted, and so much is going on.

Dutch and Luna’s story is not for the faint of heart. These two are something else, just like their connection. Even when it comes to them there are a lot of ups and downs.

I don’t want to say too much with this review, because honestly I don’t want to spoil any of the experience, but just know that this book is dark, there are some twisted things in it and it won’t be for everyone. Definitely check the warnings with this book!

If you’re looking for a dark, gothic horror, suspenseful story this is one to check out.
