REVIEW – Hardball by Lisa Suzanne

BLURB

I was issued an ultimatum between the two loves of my life: her or the game. No matter what I choose, I have to give up something I love.

Spring training is my first chance to show the world that Cooper Noah is back after the elbow injury that took me out of the game. It’s the stage I stand on to prove I’m the starter the Vegas Heat is paying big bucks for.

But my heart isn’t in any of it.

My heart can’t be in it when it’s broken.

There’s no way I can have both, but I’ve made my choice.

It’s time to play hardball.

It was right. It was perfect. It was everlasting.

ARC REVIEW

The long awaited conclusion to Cooper and Gabby’s rollercoaster of a story! There is a lot that needs to be figured out and worked out between these two. It has been full of ups and downs from the start and that still continues throughout this final book.

Cooper really had a tough choice to make and when he made it I wanted to knock some sense into him and really get him to see what was in front of him. He was frustrating me at times with the way he acted and how he was towards everyone. I felt for Gabby though, she didn’t know everything that went down between Cooper and her dad, but I think even if she did she would have been heartbroken.

This story was fast paced and I kind of wanted a little more begging and apologizing involved from everyone. I felt like everyone kind of forgave each other too quickly. I just wanted a tad more from them all.

Overall, I did enjoy Cooper and Gabby’s story and I am looking forward to more of this team.

If you’re looking for a forbidden, age gap, workplace, dad’s best friend, sports romance check this one out.
