REVIEW – False Start by Melissa Ivers

BLURB

I’ve ruined everything.

I woke up naked with my best friend and pretended to be asleep while she freaked out. Nothing happened, but what was I supposed to do? My junk was all up on her, and there’s no coming back from that.

I’ve been perfectly content ignoring my feelings and running drills in the friend zone for the past six years. The last thing I want to do is something stupid that would jeopardize our friendship.

Only now she’s not looking at me like someone who’s just a friend.

I know I should walk away, but when she agrees to an evening of no-strings fun, I can’t pass up the chance for a free pass. One night where I get to touch my best friend, Natalie Fitzroy, and pretend she’s mine, because when the sun comes up it’s over.

And then everything will go back to normal. Or at least that’s the plan.

ARC REVIEW

Natalie and Hudson have been friends and roommates for six years and all it took was one night and one too many margaritas to change their dynamic.

There is no denying the chemistry between Natalie and Hudson. They have a solid foundation of friendship and they are both attracted to each other. Though right away Natalie put Hudson in the friendzone and that isn’t a zone that Hudson wants to be in, but he also doesn’t want to change their friendship and share his true feelings.

This was a fast paced story, but enjoyable from start to end and filled with some spice.

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers, sports  romance this is one to check out.
