FACE OFF is a standalone hockey romance novel. It has a golden retriever hockey player, a grumpy veterinarian who is unamused by him, rowdy teammates, absurd text conversations, the perfect amount of steam, and a happy ending.
ARC REVIEW
I absolutely LOVE Lawson. The man is hilarious, dirty, and he just makes you swoon. The man is known as a playboy, but there is so much more to him that the public doesn’t see and he is just a ray of sunshine. Rory is focused on her job, she isn’t one for love and relationships, especially when a certain hockey player. Though, despite her tough and grumpy exterior you can’t help but love her.
These two are opposites, but I love how perfectly they fit together. I love that Rory doesn’t just shut out Lawson and that she actually takes the time to get to know the real him, not what the public sees. Plus, the banter between these two is just top notch and I couldn’t get enough of it. They also make great doggy coparents to Daisy.
The Serpents single texts…those killed me. Every single time I couldn’t help but laugh at them. This team is easy to fall for. They are a great chemistry with each other.
