REVIEW – A War Around Us by K Dosal

BLURB

𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐀
Our last names made us enemies.
Both tied to the East Coast but torn by years of vendetta.
We weren’t meant to coexist.
That was until I received a call that pulled me deeper into the life of sin.
I was a Vitelli. A woman. A pawn in a man’s world.
I was first and center of the board for an arranged marriage.
Then I saw him. A calloused heart and soulless eyes that toyed mine with a game.
My devil wore a suit and tie.
𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝑽𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒏.

𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐀
I started a war.
A decision I didn’t hesitate after seeing her. The Vitelli principessa.
A decision made by hatred.
It was my turn to take from the Vitelli.
Even after knowing she’d been promised to another.
Because in this game, I was the one who moved the pieces.
𝒀𝒆𝒕, 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓.

At that moment, I only had eyes for her. My little creature of wickedness.  But I blinked, and death danced with disaster.

ARC REVIEW

I am in love with Katia. She isn’t the typical mafia princess, she is pretty BA and she’s such a likeable character. I love that she isn’t this weak character, but can truly handle her own in the world. Lucca, I love the guy, but sometimes I also wanted to slap the man. Yet, I just couldn’t get enough of them.

I love the tension, the banter, the chemistry,  and the spice in this book. Their story was addicting and captivating from start to finish that it made the book hard to put downs. It was easy to get sucked back into this world

I pretty much need book 3 ASAP, because I need more of Lucca and Katia.

If you’re looking for an arranged marriage, mafia, enemies to lovers romance check this one out.
