REVIEW ➞ Nothing Feels Better by Brit Benson

BLURB

Jesse Hernandez has infiltrated my life.

The gorgeous, exciting man who hangs out next door.
Who happens to be younger than me.
And in college.
And heading to medical school in just a few short months.

It started innocently enough.
The occasional run-in.
A few chance encounters.
An offer to babysit.
An offer for…more.

But then it snowballed.

Now, I only know two things for certain.
One, for the first time in my entire life, I’m not an afterthought.
And two, this will end very, very badly.

My kids. My job. His future.
It’s all at risk.

Jesse Hernandez has infiltrated my life, and if I’m not careful, we will all be in tatters when he leaves.

ARC REVIEW

This book will have you laughing, swooning, and crying all within a matter of minutes. From the previous glimpses of Jesse in the other books of the series I knew that I would love him. However, after getting his story I didn’t expect him to love him as much as I do.

Jocelyn is a single mom to two of the most adorable kids, June and Jude (aka J squared). She is hard working and she loves her children fiercely. They are her top priority and she has kind of lost herself over the years. Now, Joss is on a mission to rediscover herself. Jesse is about to head to med school, he is caring, and insanely smart. He is also a lover of all things classic.

The chemistry between Joss and Jesse is amazing. I couldn’t get enough of these two. The steam between them was heating up the pages. They are perfect together and I love that Jesse so easily jumped into help Joss rediscover herself and offer suggestions, yet he never once forced her to do certain things.

I LOVED June’s side of things. I love the growth of her character and seeing how much she opened up throughout the course of the story. She has on her own self discovery mission and it was truly beautiful to read.

The side characters in this story were absolutely fantastic and I love how much they all added to the story. Found families are amazing and they will always be there to love and support you. Plus, everyone needs an emotional support pirate.

If you’re looking for an opposites attract, age gap, single mom romance this is one to check out.
