REVIEW ➞ Fired Up by K.K. Allen

BLURB ➞

Through smoke and fire, she’s all I see.

Nothing gives me a bigger rush than when I’m responding to an emergency call.
As a firefighter EMT, my mission has always been clear.
Until I arrive at the scene of an accident and a dark-haired vixen, quite literally, trips into my life.
I quickly learn there’s more to the gorgeous photographer than meets the eye.

Meadow Matthews isn’t a woman who needs saving, but she just might save me.
As a single mom to an adorable little boy, she leaves little time for play.
Which is why, when I approach her with a fun opportunity, she instantly declines.
Unfortunately, snapping photos of greased-up firefighters for a calendar isn’t her thing.

Lucky for us, she fires me up just enough to convince her otherwise.

Fired Up is a standalone single-parent medical romance in the Bayside Heroes world.

I know in that instant that I’m in a whole lot of trouble.

ARC REVIEW ➞

Asher is newly divorced after a long battle. Meadow has just recently moved to Tampa with her young son, Tate. Asher and Meadow run into each other several times, but they also have mutual friends. There is something there between them but neither of them want something series. However, with chemistry like theirs it is hard to deny things too long.

I love Meadow. She is hard working and she is a great mom to her son. I completely understand her hesitancy of getting involved with Asher with her past. She really just wants to protect her own heart and the heart of her son. Asher, it’s impossible not to love him. He is the perfect mixture of cocky and sweet. I love that despite is past relationship he isn’t completed jaded when it comes to love.

The chemistry between Asher and Meadow is undeniable. The two of them are explosive and balance each other out. Asher broke down Meadow’s walls, but never pushed her for something more. The connection he formed with Tate was super adorable and I loved the bond the two of them had. There is a small bit of drama when it comes to Asher’s ex wife BUT Asher and Meadow took everything in stride and it is a great testament to how perfect Asher and Meadow are for each other and how well the two of them work together.

If you’re looking for a single parent romance this is one to read!
