REVIEW ➞ Bet the Farm by Staci Hart

BLURB ➞

Olivia Brent has one summer to save the dairy farm she just inherited.

But there’s one problem, and it’s not her lactose intolerance.

Jake Milovic.

The brooding farmhand has inherited exactly fifty percent of Brent Farm, and he’s so convinced the city girl can’t work the land, he bets she can’t save it in a summer.

Determined to prove him wrong, Olivia accepts what might be the dumbest wager of her life.

His strategy to win seems simple: follow her around, shirtlessly distracting her between bouts of relentless taunting. And it’s effective—if his dark eyes and rare smiles aren’t enough to sidetrack her, the sweaty, rolling topography of the manbeast’s body would do the trick.

What they don’t know: they’ll have to weather more than each other.

Mysterious circumstances throw the farm into disarray, and with the dairy farm in danger, Olivia and Jake have to work together. But when they do, there’s more to fear than either of them imagined.

Because now their hearts are on the line, and the farm won’t be the only casualty if they fail.

If Frank taught me one thing, it was that there is always hope. In the darkest night, at the lowest point, there is always hope.

ARC REVIEW ➞

When a pink loving, ball of sunshine city girl meets a grumpy farmer you get this enemies to lovers story.

From the start I absolutely loved Olivia and Jake. These two were perfect for each other. The chemistry and the banter. I just couldn’t get enough of them. I loved how positive and optimistic Olivia is. She wants happiness for everyone and wants the best for everyone. I loved her determination when it came to taking over the farm that was left to her by her grandfather. Jake is grumpy, but he loves the farm. I loved the different layers to Jake, even if he didn’t know how to express himself the right away at times and came across as a jerk.

There is a tad little bit of drama, but not a ton and it doesn’t take away from the overall feel good vibe of this story. This story is still full of laughs and amazing chemistry. Not only are Jake and Olivia super lovable characters, but even the secondary characters in this story are fantastic and add to it. I loved that this takes place on a farm and growing up on a farm, this book felt like coming home and also made me miss the farm life I grew up with.

If you’re looking for a rom com with amazing chemistry and some enemies to lovers vibes that will just leave with feeling good and a smile on your face this is one to read!
