REVIEW ➞ Always Been You by Q.B. Tyler

BLURB ➞

Wrong. Sinful. Taboo.

I know I shouldn’t want him.

I know I shouldn’t touch myself in the middle of the night as thoughts of him run through my mind.

Thoughts of his kiss, his touch, his love.

I’d spent years obsessing over the man I thought I couldn’t have.

But as it turns out, he wants me too.

And he wants me now.

Somewhere in that same deep and twisted space, I imagined that one day, we’d cross that line.

Gabrielle and James have always been close. Their relationship has always been different from the moment Gabrielle was adopted at the age of two by James’s parents when he was 13. He would spend time with her if she woke up in the middle of the night, he taught her to drive, gave her her first drink. He was always extremely protective of her….until one day everything shifted between them.

I loved the bond between Gabrielle and James. Despite their age difference the two of them are extremely close. James is extremely protective of her, but Gabrielle is also protective of James. I loved how supportive they were for each other. They are all in once true feelings were confessed, even if things didn’t go well when they went public they weren’t going to let that tear them apart.

If you don’t like taboo books this one isn’t for you, but if you do and can go in with an open mind this book is absolutely fantastic.

If you’re looking for a taboo, forbidden, age gap this is one to read.
