Thoughts: Tessa and Tristian are back in the hometown, both staying next door to each other with their families. After seven years, this is their chance to finally reconnect. However, there is a lot of secrets from their pasts and present that is still between them and secrets that could change so much between them.

I loved seeing Tessa and Tristian reconnect with each other. There is still so much chemistry between them. Their connection is so strong and the love they have for each other is still there. However, they have so much they need to work through.

I can’t wait to see how things go with Tessa and Tristian, especially after the bombshell that was dropped at the end of this story. I’m sure it will be an emotional ride.

Thoughts: The start of Tristian and Tessa’s story already has me on an emotional rollercoaster!

I feel for Tristian when it comes to Savannah, I can’t help but shout at him to just do whatever needs to do to leave the horrible woman that she is. You can feel how unhappy he is when it comes to her. Tessa…I love her and I feel for her, too. She’s been through so much and so much that she really hasn’t shared with anyone.

Despite being apart for the last seven years there is still a connection between Tristian and Tessa. There is a lot of history there and with how everything ended between them they never lost their feelings for each other.

I am DYING to see where things go between these two, especially with how everything played out in this book.

Rookie Mistake is book one in the series, so it does end on a cliffhanger!

Thoughts: Ava and Reed were college sweethearts, until everything shifted between them. Now, ten years later they cross paths again and it’s not a happy reunion for either of them.

I loved Reed and Ava so much. Even after a decade and everything that happened between them they have chemistry and there is still some love between them. However, they also have a lot that they need to work through and discuss about what happened in the past.

I absolutely adored this story. I was hooked from the start. The banter, the chemistry, and the overall story was perfect.

I’m definitely looking forward to reading more about Reed’s brothers.

Thoughts: This story….it just makes my heart and soul happy.

Brock just got traded to a new football team and his living with his best friend and teammate. He doesn’t expect that his friends little sister, Joey, will also being living with him.

Brock and Joey form an instant friendship and have an instant connection with each other. However, they didn’t just jump into things. I love that they left each other letters, it was something different and something you don’t really see anyone doing anymore.

Of course, it isn’t smooth sailing for them and there are ups and downs and some drama sprinkled in. Joey’s parents are horrible humans and I felt for her, but I am glad that she had her brother and I loved everything about their relationship.

Thoughts: Genevieve is back in town after being away to get her life together, though it’s for her moms funeral and she is staying in town for a bit to help with the family business. While in town, there is one person she needs to avoid, her ex Evan. However, that is easier said than done.

Through the first quarter of this book I didn’t think that Gen and Evan should be together, they seemed so bad for each other. Yet, as their story progressed and you learned more about them and everything that happened my view of them shifted. They needed to be apart to better themselves before they could truly be better as a couple.

Gen and Evan’s story is all about second chances. They found their own second chance as individuals, but also with each other.

Living with Cam is either going to be a dream or a complete nightmare.

Thoughts: If you’ve been following this series from the beginning there has been teasing of Cam and Chevelle from the start and I have been DYING for their story. This did not disappoint!

Chevelle has been crushing on her brothers best friend since she was a child. He’s always been there for her and has been protective over her. Cam is from a wealthy family in Sunrise Bay and his father has high expectations for him.

Chevelle and Cam have INSANE chemistry. I love the banter and the tension between the two of them. They know how to get under each others skin and push each others buttons. Their little prank war and betting was hilarious and so much fun. These two are perfect for each other and I love that they have always had each other in their lives.

I love the Greene’s and there were so many amazing moments between the siblings and Hank and Marla. Plus, a few Baileys also pop up.
