REVIEW ➞ Knee Deep by D.E. Haggerty

BLURB ➞

Just when I think I’ve got it all figured out – BOOM! – in walks trouble.

It’s taken me years, but my life is finally back on track – new job, new friends, a complete new Violet! I don’t even cry myself to sleep every night anymore. But then he walks through the front door of my new workplace. How dare he come in here and ruin everything for me – again!

Luke Freaking Bauer. Not the boy who got away. Nuh-uh. Not even close. The boy who tossed me aside when I needed him the most.

But when I look deep into those hurt eyes, I forget I’m the one who was wronged. Oh boy. I’m knee-deep in trouble and sinking fast.

Wherever I end up, it needs to be far, far away from Mr. Life Destroyer.

ARC REVIEW ➞

What a fun read. D.E. Haggerty is a new to me author and I know this is the fourth book in a series, however, it can easily be read as a standalone. However, I definitely want to go back and read the previous books to learn more about the rest of the group.

Violet and Luke have a history. Things ended in a horrible way for them, now ten years later and they have mutual friends, they see each other from time to time, but can they both forgive each other for what happened in the past?

I loved Violet and Luke’s relationship from the start. They had so much chemistry, even when they were hating each other. Of course, that chemistry only grew as the story and their relationship progressed. What happened in their past was heartbreaking and even their friends didn’t know the full truth of what really happened between them.

I loved the entire group of friends, they were all so different and hilarious and really have each other’s backs. Plus, Grandma. How can you not love her?! She was hilarious and I loved her meddling ways.

Knee Deep was the perfect mix of laughs, heat, second chances and love. If you’re looking for a second chance romcom this one is a MUST READ!
