REVIEW ➞ A Kiss for a Kiss by Helena Hunting

BLURB ➞

I’m Jake Masterson, single dad, and the General Manager of Seattle’s NHL team. I walked away from a career as a player so I could raise my daughter. For the last twenty-plus years, Queenie has been my main priority, but now she’s getting married.

And there’s a small complication.

A beautiful, sexy complication named Hanna.

She’s my son-in-law’s older sister. Or at least that’s how they were raised. The truth is a little more scandalous than that.

I’ve been drawn to her from the moment I laid eyes on her. And I spent months trying to keep a lid on that attraction.

Until we finally give in.

It starts with one searing kiss, but quickly ends with us between the sheets—and in the shower, and the hot tub, you get the picture—and turns into months of sneaking around.

Here’s the problem: we live on opposite ends of the country. It can’t be anything but casual. And as I’ve already said…it’s complicated.

But when Hanna finds out she’s pregnant…suddenly things get real serious.

The attraction has been clear from day one, and the more time I spend with her, the harder it becomes to ignore.

ARC REVIEW ➞

Jake and Hanna’s story is beautiful, raw, emotional. I fell in love with these two characters when they were first introduced in the series and was so excited to find out that they were getting their story.

Jake and Hanna are spending more time together and talking more while helping plan Queenie and Ryan’s wedding. There was an attraction from the first moment they met, but the more time they spend together the stronger their attraction becomes. One kiss leads to another and then more…until the wedding is oven and Hanna returns back to Tennessee. A surprise pregnancy then leads them down a road neither thought they would experience again…

I absolutely loved these two and their story. There is so much chemistry between them. So much emotion. Then the surprise baby and the risks involved due to Hanna being in her 40s. Jake is caring, sweet, protective and just downright swoony. Hanna is strong and nurturing. Her past is so heartbreaking and rough and she deserves to have this one thing.

There are plenty of Queenie and King moments that I absolutely loved and I love how much they both added to this story. Plus little glimpse of the rest of the All In crew.

If you’re looking for an emotional, single father, friends to lovers, surprise baby romance this is one to check out.
