REVIEW : Trying to Score by Kendall Ryan

blurb

Teddy King excels at many things. Playing hockey. Check. Scoring on and off the ice. Check. Being stupidly attractive … Double check.

I knew him way back when. Before he was the guy everyone wanted a piece of, he was just a rebellious college co-ed and one of my more energetic study partners.

But secrets have a way of getting out, and a steamy encounter from our college days (that we probably shouldn’t have filmed) is about to cause a major scandal. Unless we can work together to stop it.

Teddy’s no stranger to hard work … but the thing he wants most?

Is me.

His piercing green eyes are hungry, and I’m the only thing on the menu.

my review

Trying to Score was the one book of the series I have been waiting for. There was always something between Teddy and Sara, they are frenemies to the core and their banter is always on point.

Teddy and Sara went to college together, they were friends and had a casual fling. However, after the fling ended they remained friends and continued to give each other a hard time. However, flash forward years later something from their past comes back and couldn’t potentially put both their careers at risk. To play it safe, they form a fake relationship, however, things start to feel too real.

I love Sara. She is a sassy, independent lawyer. She is focused on her career and trying to advanced in her law firm. Teddy has two things he loves in his life. Hockey and his grandpa. He works hard to hockey in hopes that he can better take care of his Grandpa. Together they had so much chemistry and it was explosive at times.

Trying to Score is full of laughs, chemistry, banter and plenty of swoon-worthy moments. A MUST READ, along with the other books in the Hot Jocks series.
