REVIEW : The Lineup by Meghan Quinn

blurb

Want to know a secret?

It’s about that girl over there.
Don’t look, but she’s the one in the power suit—with the long, black hair and the serious expression, the one I’m about to go on a date with . . .

Yeah, according to her, she “accidentally” donated an obscene amount of money to my charity — The Lineup — to win said date but I found out the truth. Miss. Button Up Blouse has a secret, passionate crush on me.

I didn’t know her name until two days ago, despite the friends we have in common.
Was I oblivious? Probably.
Was I blind to it? Definitely.

But I’m no fool, I see it now. The High Heel Harlot wants more than just a date with Jason Orson, she wants to be able to claim the best butt in baseball as hers.

Here’s another secret . . . she has no idea I know.

There’s only one lady with more than enough ovaries to buckle the knees of the mighty Jason Orson. The one and only Dorothy “Dottie” Domico.

my review

If Jason Orson isn’t the ultimate book boyfriend, then I don’t know who is. Seriously, I thought Knox was fantastic, then Carson, but Jason. Well he just knocks it out of the park. Talk about a swoon worthy hero! The Lineup had me laughing from the very beginning and swooning over Jason. It also had me bawling my eyes out at times. It was the best kind of emotional rollercoaster.

Jason is sensitive, obnoxious, has no filter, sweet and a giant teddy bear. Plus, the man can cook. #BestDamnTatoSaladEver. Dottie is a BOSS, literally. She is hardworking and focused on her career. They went to college together; Dottie knew who Jason was. She even had a crush on him at the time. They run in the same circle of friends, however, never really spent time together.

Jason and Dottie’s chemistry was explosive. I LOVED every single thing about their relationship. Jason brought out a different side to Dottie that she had pushed away to focus on her career. There were so many sweet and adorable moments between the two of them.

Jason, Knox and Carson’s friendship is something that will just make you smile. Those three guys are hilarious together and are really like brothers to each other. Dottie is the same way with Emory, Milly and Lindsey. The entire crew is hilarious and will have you dying of laughter.

You may want to avoid reading this in a public place because I promise you will laugh out loud constantly. The Lineup is a MUST READ and one of my favorites of 2019.
