REVIEW : Seducing Mrs. Robinson by Rachel Van Dyken

blurb

We’ve all been there, some more than others, you know what I’m talking about, where you have the hots for the new business teacher.

I was one hundred percent that guy. I shamelessly flirted with her my senior year, only earning her irritation more and more. On graduation, I stood up to her husband after he got violent, and I’ll never forget the look in her eyes when she told me it wasn’t my place.

Fast forward to my senior year of college and what do you know, the new adjunct professor is the one and only Mrs. Robinson, she’s eight years older than me and smoking hot. Did I mention divorced?

She looks at me like I’m trouble, and I’m only happy to deliver on that promise. I’m going to show her how a real man treats a woman and use every weapon in my Pleasure Pony arsenal to do it.

Go big or go home.

Because sometimes all a human being needs…is touch from someone else, so they know they aren’t alone.

my review

I am not one for reading blurbs and I love RVD books so I went into this one completely blind. It was NOTHING like I expected. If you were to judge a book by its cover and by its title, well you’d probably guess this is a student/teacher romance, which yes it is, but there is SO MUCH more to this story. The message behind it is truly beautiful.

Leo first met Kora his senior year of high school. He graduated, moved on, but never forgot about her. Years later, they run into each other again. The attraction is still there for Leo, now he just needs to make Kora see it. He tries to be her friend, but when she reaches out to Wingman, Inc things change.

This is a great teacher/student romance, but it is also a story about finding the confidence in yourself, learning to love yourself again and knowing that you are worth it. Things can happen and it doesn’t matter if you’re male or female, both genders experience the same thing. I love that Leo was able to take his own experiences and help Kora in a way that no one else probably could have.

It was great being back in the Wingman, Inc world and I can’t wait to see what is in story for Finn and Slater.
