REVIEW : Savage Hunger by Lisa Renee Jones

blurb

Rick Savage, but they call him Savage and for a reason. He can make you laugh and then rip your heart out. No one knows that more than me, Jasmine Marks, the woman he left bleeding from the heart. I loved him. Lord help me, I’ve never stopped loving him.

Now, I’m engaged to another man, a brutal man I’m trapped into marrying, when to my shock, Savage returns home. Savage who I haven’t heard from in years. I want to hate him. I have ever reason to hate him, but I can’t. I still love him and I fear he will save me just to leave me bleeding one last time. He stirs my desires, a dark, delicious, and dangerous man destined to hurt me and leave me. This time I’m not sure I’ll survive.

when Rick Savage kisses me after he speaks it, when he drinks me in and makes love to me with his kiss, it’s hard to want this to end.

my review

I have been waiting for what feels like a lifetime for Savage’s story and Savage Hunger does not disappoint. It exceeded any and all expectations I had for this character and only made me love him even more.

If you have read any of Lisa Renee Jones’ previous novels, you know Rick Savage. The secondary character you can’t help but love. His personality and laugh out loud remarks shine full force in the start of this trilogy and I cannot wait for more.

Savage and Candace were once lovers, but he was deployed and their relationship was never the same. Flash forward eight years and he is back, but Candace doesn’t want anything to do with him. Will Savage be able to win back the love of his life and keep her safe?

The chemistry between these two characters was EXPLOSIVE! Even after all the pain and heartbreak between Savage and Candace, there is no denying these two are meant for each other. There is some suspense to the story that will have you craving more when you get to the end.

I am all for #TeamSavage and I can’t wait to see where this story goes!
