REVIEW : Manhattan by Kandi Steiner

blurb

Manhattan is a stand-alone, small town, country romance in the Becker Brothers Series.

Everyone knows not to fall in love with your best friend.

But when your best friend is Michael Becker, it’s impossible not to.

He’s everything our town knows a Becker brother to be: devastatingly handsome, charming as a thief, and the icing on the cake — a sentimental musician who’s never without his guitar.

And he was mine. At least, that’s what I’d convinced myself.

Our bond was born in elementary school, strengthened by circumstance and the promise to always be there for each other, no matter what. And the best thing about my life was being friends with Michael Becker.

Until it was the worst.

I watched him fall in love with someone else, and helped patch him back up when she left him behind. But when he drops the bomb that he’s moving to New York, I realize it’s my last chance to tell him how I feel. And I ask him to make one more promise.

One summer. One list of adventures to remind him that our small town has more to offer than memories of the girl who left him behind.

One last chance to tell him I’m in love with him.

And I’m just dumb enough to believe that maybe he could love me, too.

Michel Becker grabbed my hand, and we somehow found a friendship in the hollow darkness of the pain we both shared.

my review

I can’t get over the Becker Brother’s but there is just something about Michael Becker that completely stole my heart. This is hands down my favorite book of the series.

Mikey and Kylie are best friends, they have been since they were eight years old. Michael announces he is moving to New York and Kylie makes it her mission to show him everything he loves about their small town and maybe convince the boy she has loved her entire life that maybe they could be something more.

I LOVED Michael and Kylie’s friendship so much. There is such a deep bond and connection between these two. They know everything about each other, they don’t hide anything from each other. They share a bond that many others don’t. There is so much chemistry between them. When things shift and their relationship starts you can’t help but just fall in love with them even more.

Kandi wrote an amazing slow burn, angst filled, friends to lovers romance that I never wanted to end. This story was making me swoon left and right, slightly broke my heart, but quickly mended those broken pieces. This book is a MUST READ and easily one of my TOP BOOKS of 2019.

  1. I together with my friends ended up taking note of the good points from your web blog then instantly developed an awful suspicion I had not thanked the web blog owner for those secrets. The men became certainly warmed to read them and already have quite simply been enjoying those things. Appreciation for getting indeed considerate as well as for deciding on this sort of exceptional things most people are really eager to discover. My sincere regret for not expressing gratitude to you sooner.
