REVIEW: Leave Me Breathless by Katie Douglas

“I can’t be near him. We were a disaster.”

“I still want her. She leaves me breathless.”

Dylan:

Two years ago, Jake and I ended things. Badly.

For my own sanity, I have to avoid him. Now, he doesn’t want anything to do with me and the feeling is mutual.

But a sick horse throws us back together, and when I’m around him, it’s difficult to be professional. Especially when all I want him to do is put me over his shoulder, carry me away, and finish what we started two years ago.

Jake:

Dylan says she broke everything between us last time for a good reason. But now she’s back and my feelings for her haven’t gone away.

We might have a second chance, but how can I trust that she won’t do the same thing this time?

That man is trouble, and I needed him in my life again like I needed a chocolate fireplace. I just wished my body would get the damn memo.

MY REVIEW

I love that we FINALLY get Jake’s story! He was always the “horse guy” who kind of kept to himself most of the time, but he was also part of the family with the rest of the guys.

Dylan and Jake have a history, but it ended two years ago when Dylan had a freak out and just left Jake without any real explanation. Now, she is back in his life and the attraction is still there. But is the trust between them completely broke?

I loved their second chance at a relationship. Dylan has come a long way from the little flashbacks we got of their past relationship together, of course, it took two years to figure it out. Jake was caring and protective of her, even when he didn’t fully trust her. Watching them face their past together was great and their chemistry was off the charts.

Like the other books in the series there was suspense, drama and a whole lot of steam. I also love that we got more of the other couples and babies of Lemon Tree Ranch. I am sad that this series is coming to an end but Jake’s story was the perfect ending to it all.
