REVIEW : Fallen Saint by Monica James

Just as this nightmare began, I once again find myself bound, destination unknown. However, this time, my kidnapper is the man who shattered my world beyond repair.

Aleksei Popov—Russia’s number one mobster, and the man I was sold to.

His intentions for me are clear—submit, obey him, and call him master—but I won’t surrender. I’m not like the other girls. Whether that’s a blessing or curse, I’ve yet to decide. The problem is, my disobedience intrigues my captor all the more.

When we arrive in Russia, the rules change.

Saint, the man who was once a sinner, is my only salvation. What was forbidden now gives me hope that there is light in the darkness. He will risk everything to set me free.

But behind these opulent walls, things aren’t what they seem, and when the fine line between pleasure and pain begins to blur, only one thing matters—saving my soul.

I will lie.

Cheat.

Steal.

I was once an angel, but now… I’m a fallen saint, ready to inflict my own pain and burn this hellhole to the ground.

I am walking…no staggering through the darkest valley, but I am alone. No one is with me. There is no saving grace.

MY REVIEW

This is not my first or my last read from Monica James. She can literally write ANYTHING from emotional and heart-breaking stories, to rom coms, to dark romance. That being said you NEED Saint and Willow in your lives ASAP!

Fallen Saint is book 2 in All The Pretty Things trilogy and IT IS NOT a standalone, you MUST read Bad Saint first.

Book two picks up right where Bad Saint ends. Willow is right back where she started. Held kidnapped on a yacht, destined for Russia. Willow is a fighter. Given everything she experience in book one and the emotions that she felt, those continue in book two and only seem to escalate. Saint. That man. There is so much more to him that meets the eye and as the story continues more and more layers of this man are revealed and more and more you begin to love him.

The chemistry between Saint and Willow continues to escalate and let’s just say it is EXPLOSIVE at times. I completely LOVE these two. The levels Saint is willing to go to protect Willow, to get her out of this mess is admirable. I never thought I would say this but I love Alek, despite being the reason Willow was kidnapped, there is a lot more to the man. Though, all that could be a lie. You never know.

This story was so so so much more than I could have ever hoped for and expected. I loved every single word of it. I was completely sucked in to the story, so much so that I may have been yelling at my kindle and wanted to throw it across the room when I got to the end.

Bravo to Monica James for taking the plunge into the dark romance and for COMPLETELY destroying the hearts (in the best way possible) of every single reader possible with Saint and Willow’s story. If you have not started this series, it is MUST READ!
