REVIEW : Broken Knight by LJ Shen

Not all love stories are written the same way. Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending.

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.

Sweet.
Caring.
Charitable.
Quiet.
Fake.
Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.
Who taught her how to laugh.
To live.
To love.
Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.
Gorgeous.
Athletic.
Rugged.
Popular.
Liar.

This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.

But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.
When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.

Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

There were two Knight Coles. One was mine. The other everyone else’s.

MY REVIEW

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. Broken Knight is EVERYTHING you could ever want but didn’t know you needed. Knight and Luna’s story completely gutted me. It shattered my heart into millions of tiny little pieces, but also mend those millions of pieces back together.

There is so so so so much I could say about this story but it is just one those you really need to read for yourself. It is such a beautiful story and so beautifully written.

Knight is truly broken and my heart went out to him. He hides behind his walls, but Luna knows better. She knows the real Knight. She is his rock, his pain, his heart, his ride or die. Luna, oh I how I loved Luna. She may seem shy and weak but she is far from it. She is strong, she is powerful and as the story goes on the more she starts to shine.

Knight and Luna are two broken, lost souls who found each other and are there to heal each other through all the pain and heartbreak of growing up, of living life, of unexpected events.

To quote Luna, “The sun will rise again tomorrow”

This book is a MUST READ and hands down my FAVORITE BOOK of 2019  !!!
