REVIEW ➼ Love the One You Hate by R.S. Grey

BLURB ➼

Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate.
For good reason.

His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal.

His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance.

Fortunately, space shouldn’t be an issue inside this Gilded Age mansion and its lush gardens. If I stick with the servants and he keeps to his sailboat and vintage Porsche, we should hardly cross paths at all. Unfortunately, at Rosethorn, I find that all roads eventually lead to Nicholas Hunt.

Sparks fly as we spar at the dinner table. Fighting words are flung in the shadows of the palatial halls.

We hang suspended in our hatred of one another, painfully oblivious to the heat and tension that build with every moment we’re left alone. We’re liable to kill one another, I think…right up until my eyes land on his lips and a new feeling grips hold of me: lust.

What’s worse?
He knows it.

They say you should keep your enemies close, but when Nicholas tightens his grip on my waist and draws me near, I’m not sure if it’s out of loathing or love.

One thing’s for sure—I intend to find out.

Like a doe in the woods standing within range of a hunter’s arrow. That’s how I feel playing for Nicholas.

ARC REVIEW ➼

I went into this book completely blind, but I love anything R.S. Grey writes and this one was not a disappointment and is hands down my favorite book from her to date. If you’re an enemies to lovers fan this is definitely one you’ll want to add to read!

Maren hasn’t had an easy life. Growing up in foster care, then moving to a group home isn’t easy. She didn’t have her dream of going to college and had to work hard for everything she has in her life. Then a mysterious opportunity comes from Cornelia Cromwell. I loved their relationship. Cornelia was like a fairy godmother and grandmother to her all in one. She instantly loved Maren like she was one of her own and took her under her wings. Nicholas, is Cornelia’s grandson, and he wants to make sure that no one is taking advantage of his grandmother, so Maren is an instant red flag to him. He instantly dislikes her, but there is something about her that draws him in, that he can’t stay away from.

I loved the banter between Maren and Nicholas. I loved the chemistry. The slow burn of their relationship, watching it go from hate to so much more as the story progressed. Despite, Nicholas coming across as a major jerk in the beginning, I get it because he just was looking out for her grandmother, but he relaxes some and you can’t help but love him.

If you’re looking for a great slow burn enemies to lovers romance that will have you laughing, crying and swooning Love the One You Hate is a MUST READ!
