REVIEW ➼ Chicks, Man by J.D. Hollyfield

BLURB ➼

Falling in love was the easy part.
Being secretly in love with my brother’s best friend is where it got tricky.
Levi Dent was off-limits. Which was probably for the best, since he barely knew I existed.

Until one night I saw an opportunity I couldn’t resist.

The problem was, I got caught.

She tricked me.
I knew there was something so familiar about her, but I just couldn’t resist.
Hannah Matthews was nothing more than my best friend’s little sister. Except she wasn’t so little anymore.

I need to forget all about her.

If only it were that easy…

I wish I could see her eyes. Get lost in the beauty of her soul. Feed off the passion radiating from within that makes her irresistible.

ARC REVIEW ➼

Chicks, Man is a rather unexpected surprise that I couldn’t put down! I didn’t read the blurb so I had NO IDEA what I was getting myself into but I LOVED every single moment of this book.

Hannah is just starting at her father’s law firm and the person mentoring her? Her brother’s best friend, her childhood crush, the man she tricked 3 weeks earlier her brother’s wedding, Levi. Levi never paid much attention to Hannah when they were growing up, she was always his best friend’s little sister. Now she isn’t so little and there is something about her that he can’t seem to stay away from. Is he willing to risk his friendship and the father/son relationship he has built with her father to be with her?

Hannah was always picked on in school and by her brother’s friends. She was always just the annoying little sister, the girl that everyone just ignored. She didn’t really have a voice growing up, until she went to college. Now she has a voice, she is grown up and she is tired of being ignored by everyone. I was rooting for this girl to put everyone in their place! Levi was the football star, dreams of going pro, but made a different decision, a smart one to secure his future. There is a lot more to him than just the hot jock. He is smart, caring, insanely protective. I loved the chemistry between Hannah and Levi throughout the entire story. Their tension was fantastic throughout the story.

The secondary characters added a lot to this one. Hannah’s brother and his group of friends. There was some hilarious banter with them towards the end and I hope there is maybe some more of them in the future.

Chicks, Man had some sweet moments, some moments that made me laugh, cry, want to throw my kindle. It also packed the heat and some suspense! There is really a little something for everyone in this book. It is a MUST READ for me!
