REVIEW ➞ The One Night by Meghan Quinn

BLURB ➞

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn comes a romantic comedy novella about the magic and misadventures of a one-night stand.

Recently divorced Cooper Chance knows he’s officially in a rut when his parents take him barhopping in the hope of resuscitating his love life. At first, he’s skeptical. How could a gritty dive bar possibly solve his problems? But then he runs into Nora McHale.

Nora isn’t at the bar looking for love. She’s there to unwind after yet another exhausting day at her bakery. And even if she were hoping to meet someone, it sure wouldn’t be Cooper—her best friend’s ex-husband.

According to the unwritten rules of romance, Cooper and Nora are completely off limits to each other. But after a fun, flirty night at the bar, they can’t ignore the wild attraction between them.

Is this the beginning of something real, or will their passionate night together be their one and only?

My parents will not be attempting to take me out so they can act as my wingmen.

ARC REVIEW ➞

Cooper hasn’t really gotten out much since his divorce, but when is parents become his wingmen and force him to go out, he happens to cross paths with his ex-wife’s best friend, Nora. This isn’t the first time they have met, but it is the first time the two of them have really noticed each other. They get to know each other on a deeper level in a short amount of time.

There is an instant connection between Cooper and Nora, but there are some doubts between them because of Cooper’s ex and Nora’s best friend. Those are lines they don’t really want to cross, however, with chemistry like what they have you don’t really want to miss out on a chance either.

I loved these two characters and loved the little bits and pieces that were given of their families. I can’t wait for more of these characters and to see where things go with Cooper and Nora!

If you’re looking for a rom com novella this is one to read!
