REVIEW ➞ Sneaking Around with #34 by Piper Rayne

BLURB

I have a reputation for being tight-lipped. You learn quick when you become a professional hockey player to be guarded with the media, so I’ve worked hard to cover up the mistakes of my youth.

But when I’m traded to the Florida Fury, where my ex–best friend is the starting right wing, I’m forced to confront my past. Ford and I have a lot of history, especially when it comes to his little sister, Imogen.

My heart still lurches in my chest when I see her.
My hands want to reach out and touch her.
My mouth wants to keep apologizing.

She’s the only woman who ever made me want more. But she’s also the one who fell victim to my most regrettable decision.

I’m not a believer in fate, but I must be back in her world for a reason. I’ve fought for everything I’ve gotten and I’m not backing down from what I know will be the best thing in my life.

Sometimes people don’t come into your life for any other reason than to teach you a lesson. And Warner Langley taught me never to trust a man.

ARC REVIEW

I absolutely adored Warner and Imogen’s story. I loved that there were bits of the past mixed into with the present so you can see what happened between them and what happened between Warner and Ford.

There is no denying the chemistry between Warner and Imogen, even after ten years have passed. However, there is still a lot of pain and heartbreak between them that never fully got resolved. Their past was absolutely heartbreaking, especially at such a young age. I loved the banter they have as adults. I loved the fact that Warner was all for a second chance the moment he crossed paths with Imogen again, even though he knew it wouldn’t be easy to convince her.

I loved getting to know about Warner and Ford and seeing them get a second chance at their bromance, too.

If you’re looking for a second chance, brothers best friend/teammate, sports romance this is one to read.
