REVIEW ➞ Little Lies by H. Hunting

BLURB ➞

I don’t want you.
You mean nothing to me.
I never loved you.

I turned my words into swords.
And I cut her down. Shoved the blade in and watched her fall.

I said I’d never hurt her, and I did.

Years later, I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted, when all I wanted was to indulge my obsession.

Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of.

I used to be the one who saved her.
Over and over again.

But I don’t want to save her anymore.
I just want to pretend the lies are still the truth.

A standalone angsty new adult romance.

I’ve known her my entire life. She is my secret best friend. We’re the same but different. We’re connected by invisible threads.

I LOVED Helena Hunting’s angsty stories and this one hands down takes the cake. If you love angsty romances this is one you will want to read.

Little Lies had me feeling all sorts of emotions. I cried, I laughed, and I smiled. It is hard not to just completely love Lavender and, like her family, want to do everything you can to protect her, but she is also a strong young woman. Her mental health is a major focus and I loved how Helena handled it throughout the pages of this story. I loved the relationship she had with Violet and how Violet is with her. Their mother/daughter bond is beautiful. Lavender’s relationship with her brothers and her father is also amazing and the love and support they provide her.

Kody has his own struggles and from the moment he and Lavender met at a young age, there was a deep-rooted connection between them. They were best friends; they were each other’s rocks and support. Until, one day everything changed. However, there is still a connection between them, even with the dislike.

The entire crew in this story were perfect and I loved the second generation from the Pucked series. These kids are seriously just like their parents and I was loving every moment of it.

Little Lies was one book I have been looking forward to since it was announced and this story was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. It is more than just a romance. A MUST READ angsty, new adult romance.
