REVIEW ➞ Lies & Lullabies by Sarina Bowen

BLURB ➞

Once upon a time, he gave me a summer of friendship, followed by one perfect night. We shared a lot during our short time together. But he skipped a few crucial details.

I didn’t know he was a rock star.

I didn’t know his real name.

Neither of us knew I’d get pregnant.

And I sure never expected to see him again.

Five years later, his tour bus pulls up in Nest Lake, Maine. My little world is about to be shattered by loud music and the pounding of my own foolish heart.

No matter where I go, I’ll always come back to you.

ARC REVIEW ➞

I have been waiting for the Hush Notes series since it was first announced and book one is Lies & Lullabies, which is the lead singer of the band. This book is a second chance, secret baby romance that will have you swooning and smiling the entire time.

Jonas returns to the small Maine town he spent a summer in five years prior and he runs into the one person he didn’t think he would ever see again, Kira. However, Kira has a secret that she needs to tell him and its one that will change his life, he is a father to the most adorable little girl.

I loved Jonas and Kira’s relationship. In the bits we get to see of the past and how they first met five years prior there were so many sweet moments between them, they quickly formed a friendship. They had both helped each other that summer and they realized that when it was time to say goodbye. When they see each other again it was like the chemistry and their connection never faded. You could feel the emotions and the connection between them immediately. Of course, there are so ups and downs and finding a way to work their schedules out and some slight drama that causes some issues between them.

I loved getting a glimpse into the other band members, Quinn and Nixon, so I can’t wait to read their stories! The secondary characters in this were amazing from Jonas and Kira’s daughter, Vivi, to the band manager, Ethan, and Kira’s older brother, Adam. Each of them added something to the story.

Lies & Lullabies is a MUST READ and the great start to this series.
