There’s more than one way to save a life…

Riley James has everything to live for, a business to grow, goals to achieve. After everything she’s overcome, there’s no way she’s going to let anyone get in the way of her hopes and dreams. Not even a handsome businessman who makes her a crazy offer she would be even crazier to refuse.

Jordan West has everything a man could want. And yet it all feels so meaningless. But when tragedy strikes and he’s entrusted with the care of a toddler, life doesn’t seem so meaningless anymore. Jordan West suddenly has everything to live for. Problem is…how does he hold on to that feeling?

My heart’s been stolen by a repressed billionaire and his rare smiles and there’s nothing I can do about it.

How to Save a Life was such a unique and different story. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this story, but it was a pleasant surprise that I couldn’t put down.

Riley and Jordan meet in an interesting way and from there things progress. Jordan hires Riley to be his personal assistant, instead she quickly becomes a nanny for him. It was a slow start and this story is definitely a slow burn, but things do progress and quickly change.  Jordan and Riley do have chemistry, though it may not be very strong in the beginning, it quickly grew into something stronger.

The story is primarily told from Riley’s POV, which I enjoyed, but I do wish there was more from Jordan’s POV to see his perspective on some of the things that occurred. I was also missing an epilogue to this story, I felt that there are things that could have used some more closure and just wrapped up the story fully.

If you’re looking for a unique slow burn romance this is definitely one to check out.
