REVIEW ➞ Getting Real by Emma Chase

BLURB ➞

A sexy, hilarious, emotional, new romance from New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase.

Connor Daniels never thought he’d be starting over at dating square one. His career as a successful doctor, and his three boys, are everything to him. It’s not exactly a set-up conducive to a scorching love life—but he’s giving it a shot.

ER nurse Violet Robinson never intended for Connor to find out she’s had a crush on him forever. It was a dirty little secret only meant for her dirty dreams. Her heart trips every time he’s around—and so do her feet.

When Connor sees Violet coasting across the grocery store parking lot—and she falls on her face—he starts falling for the gorgeous, young nurse right back.

Dating can be tricky. And life can be beautiful and crazy and unpredictable. But when it gets real, you discover what matters most . . . and the one person you want loving you through it all.

Normally I’m quite graceful—or at least functionally coordinated. But the second Connor is in my orbit outside of a work-related interaction, my limbs and brain go haywire . . . everything short-circuits.

ARC REVIEW ➞

Between his job as a doctor and raising his three sons, Connor doesn’t have much time to date and that is something he is fine with. Violet is a nurse, she’s been crushing on Connor since they met. However, she doesn’t think he would interested in her.

There is a ton of chemistry between Connor and Violet. I absolutely loved the two of them together and I loved the two of them individually. I loved how open both of them were with each other and how well they just worked together. It was so easy to fall in love with these characters and root for them to both find their happily ever afters with each other. I also loved how well Violet connected with all of Connor’s boys. They instantly connected with her and welcomed her.

This story was amazing from start to finish. I loved the humor, the emotions, the spice and the characters. Plus, it was fun to get more of the main characters in the first two books of this series.

If you’re looking for a single father, age gap, work place romance this is one to check out.
