REVIEW ➞ Buck You by Elle Thorpe

BLURB ➞

Summer Hunt was destined to be the first woman on the pro bull riding tour, until a devastating accident shattered her dreams. With the injury not healing, and her fiancé pushing to move to the city, there’s nothing left for her at the small-town bull riding school she runs with her father.

Dominic West has always secretly longed to know his biological parents. But when an attempt to meet his birth mother goes horribly wrong, getting the hell out of town is all that’s on his mind. With a job available at Hunts’ Bull Riding School, hiding out in the place he knows from his childhood is the perfect escape.

Until he comes face to face with the one person who has always owned his heart. The girl he grew up with, riding bulls in the dirt, is now a beautiful but broken shell of the woman he remembers. And she’s not happy to see him.

She’s planning to leave in just a few weeks, set to marry some jackass who doesn’t know one end of a bull from the other, unless Dom can prove her dreams are still in reach. And convince her to stay. For her career. For him.

You know who you are. And so do I. You’re beautiful and smart and talent. You’re Summer Hunt. The woman who can ride rings around the guys when she’s on the back of a bull.

Elle Thorpe can write cowboys that will make you swoon, that will make you fan yourself and will have you completely falling in love.

Dominic West needs a change of scenery and heads to Georgia to go work at a Bull Riding School owned by a family friend.  His childhood crush, Summer, also happens to be working there since her father is the owner. Ever since her accident Summer has just been lost and going through the motions, but she isn’t truly happy.

Dominic and Summer have a history together. They have chemistry. However, they have remained in the friend zone their entire childhood together. Though Summer was not available, Dominic never gave up. He knew that she was perfect for him and that they would be perfect together. He helped her flourish and realize that she doesn’t have to give up her dreams. A magical moment between them and a mechanical bull had me hardcore swooning!

I loved Dominic and Summer’s story and their road to happiness, even though there were a few twists thrown in. I can’t wait for more cowboys!

If you love dirty talking, swoon worthy cowboys this is one to check out!!
