REVIEW ➞ Baby Face by AJ Wolf

BLURB

They call me Baby Face.

They should have protected me.

The people I loved the most, trusted the most, hurt me the most. I kept my mouth shut just like they asked—scared. Scared to find out what they’d do to me if I didn’t. Scared of what the world would think of me if they ever found out.

I lived with the shame and fear they pushed on me for years, let it dictate how I lived my life.

Until I met him.

He pulled me from the dark and gave me the strength to believe in myself. To love myself.

They called me Baby Face, but I no longer go by that name.

Baby Face is a contemporary romance novella that follows the FMC as she overcomes childhood sexual assault and learns to love and forgive herself. It deals with topics and subjects that some readers may find triggering and should be read at your own discretion.

This novella is part of the ????? ??? ???? charity anthology, where all proceeds will be donated to the RAINN organization.

“You’re not alone anymore. You’ll never be alone again, you hear me? I don’t care if it’s the middle of the day or the middle of the night. If the world ever gets too much, I want you to call me, okay?”

ARC REVIEW

This story broke my heart and mended it all at once.

Mia has been through so much pain and suffering for years at the hands of her own family. Events that have left her with constant panic attacks, however, now she is away from those who hurt her the most. Dante. He is so sweet, caring, patient, loving, and everything that Mia needed.

This story was truly beautiful. To see Mia learn to love someone and most importantly herself. To see her overcome everything she experienced was beautiful. Her past broke my heart, but seeing her love and forgive herself was the key to mending everything.

This story does feature trigger topics and subjects, so please be mindful of that before starting to read and read the warning at the beginning.
