REVIEW ➞ Affinity by Harlow Layne

BLURB ➞

Waking up in Vegas was always a gamble… but the last thing I expected was to find myself in bed with Hollywood’s latest bad boy.

Or that Jenner would be my husband, as in happily ever after — till death do us part.

He also happened to be my newest client.

Behind closed doors we couldn’t stand each other, but for the world we were forced to play the part of happy newlyweds.

The longer we pretended, the more real it felt. The tension, the desire… the slow fade from hate to love.

It wasn’t just his reputation on the line, it was my career as a publicist.

He had an affinity for bad publicity; I was hired to fix that, but what happened if I fell in love with my fake husband?

I knew that life with Reeves Jenner would never be boring, and he’d always keep me on my toes.

ARC REVIEW ➞

Waking up in Vegas and finding out you are married to your childhood crush and have no memory of the events is not the great way to start your day or anything for that matter. However, Abbi and Jenner just so happen to be in this very predicament and are forced to see it out. What’s the worst that can happen?

From the start there was chemistry between Abbi and Jenner, though sometimes it was more towards the side of dislike, but there is plenty of lust and attraction between them. The banter between them throughout the story is amazing and hilarious at times. The progression of their relationship was quick, however, I loved how they helped each other out. It was easy to fall in love with both Jenner and Abbi.

There were some unexpected things with this story and a little bit of suspense/drama. I loved getting more of Harlow’s previous characters from her Fairlane series, too.

If you’re looking for a Vegas marriage, a struggling celebrity, a little suspense and an independent heroine Affinity is one to check out!
